Balloon Car Racers
Using only the materials supplied to you, design and build a vehicle that is powered only with a balloon. The balloon car challenge is an exercise in technological problem solving: the trial-and-error approach that will also tie in the ideas of motion (distance, time, speed, and acceleration), energy conservation, and forces (friction, etc.).
These are part of the package and will be done individually.
What are Standing Waves
The applet below is a great tool for understanding how standing waves are formed when periodic waves reflect back and interfere (constructively and destructively) with themselves; the result is a standing wave.
