Today we are wrapping up the package from yesterday. Tomorrow we are doing two investigations related to circular motion.

Circular Motion InvestigationsAdditional ProblemsWe will be working on some additional problems and some challenge problems after we complete this investigation. We will also start some review.
Work period on centripetal force. We will be looking at a variety of different types of problems related to circular motion.
Centripetal Force
Today we are starting to learn about motion that is circular in nature. This is a big topic and an important extension of understanding the motion of objects and the forces experienced by objects moving in curves or circles.
Test today is on Hooke's Law and spring energy problems.
Today we are doing a somewhat open ended inquiry task that will have you determining the k value (spring constant) of a spring launcher and then using this value to make predictions and testing those predictions. You will also learn how to estimate the uncertainty in measurements and use a online error propagation calculator to determine the uncertainty in your measurements.
Today is a work period to complete all of the assigned work related to Hooke's Law. We will be starting some investigations over the next few days related to energy, motion and springs.
Today is our last day to work on Hooke's Law problems. We will look at a couple of additional type problems of hanging masses and max stretch problems.
Today's test will cover the concepts of momentum and energy conservation and all related problems in both 1 and 2 dimensions.
