Graphing Binomial Distributions and Solving ProblemsOur last day on these types of distributions before the review for the test. We will be solving some more in depth problems with binomial distributions and also graphing the distributions. We will be creating small documents with our solutions and analysis of the problems.
Today we are working on completing some basic type problems related to binomial distributions and expectation values.
Wrapping Up - Expectation ValuesToday we will wrap up our work on expectation values. We will work on some additional problems as well. Binomial DistributionsThe binomial distribution is a distribution with independent trials whose outcomes are either success or failure. The random variable is the number of successes in a given number of trials.
QuizWe are completing a short combinations, Venn diagram, and pascal's method quiz today. Lesson & WorkFinishing up work on Prob. Distributions and Expected Values.
Probability DistributionsToday we will be learning about probability distributions, probability histograms, and expectation values.
Review: Probabilities, Venn Diagrams, Permutations, Combinations, and Pascal's MethodAfter a week off school I think it is a good idea to review some concepts we have learned so far.
Today we are having a short quiz on combinations and pascal's method. We will also have time to work on the pascal's method worksheet. Understand that today there are a lot of students away for the hockey tournament, etc. If you are not in class then hopefully you are checking here. Also, have a great March break.
Pascal's triangle is a triangular array of numbers in which each term is the sum of the two terms above it.
